Youth Classics International Music Festival and Masterclasses
April 21 - May 2, 2012 at Hallenburg Castle (Hesse/Germany)
Welcome to the Hessen Schloss Hallenburg
National Music Academy in Schlitz.
This is where music happens! Since 2003 a wide range of sounds has poured through the halls of the castle, built according to designs by the famous French baroque master Louis Remy de la Fosse between 1706 and 1712. The complex is fully equipped with the castle’s 18 seminar rooms, a concert hall in the farm building, an 85-bed guest house and the Schloss Hallenburg Restaurant, that in addition to individual orders provides for the academy’s various catering needs. The park surrounding the castle is manicured in the style of an English garden, offering visitors a relaxed, pleasant atmosphere in which to pass their time.
Music ensembles of all kinds – not only from Hessen, but from all over Germany and abroad –rehearse here and benefit from the musical and cultural experience of the academy. It is the main objective of the Hessische Academy for Musical and Cultural Education to preserve and pass down the values of musical culture and education.
The curriculum will soon be extended to include further offerings and events, bringing together a wide range of contacts and different people of all generations.
We look forward to seeing you!
