Rainer Moog - Viola

Rainer Moog was born in Cologne, Germany. He received his musical education in Cologne and New York.

He was engaged as principal violist with the "Berliner Philharmoniker" under H.v. Karajan (1974 - 78). He had a teaching postition at the "NWD-Musikakademie Detmold", "Hochschule der Künste" Berlin, "Koninklijk Cons." Den Haag, "Indiana School of Music", USA and at the "Musikhochschule Köln" (1978 - 2007) etc.

Apart from countless radio-recordings he recorded solo- and chamber music works. He has been invited as a juror to international competitions, such as in Geneva, Munich and Sendai.

Rainer Moog has given Masterclasses in England, Greece, Crete, France, Italy, Switzerland, Japan, Finland, Norway, Brasil, Spain, Australie etc. As a soloist and chamber music player he has played all over the world.
