Naoko Sonada studied in Tokyo at the Toho Gakuen Music School with Seiko Ezawa and Mikhail Voskressensky, and later at the Berlin University of the Arts with Rainer Becker. Since then, chamber music has been of central importance to her. As a result, she has been primarily influenced by chamber music work with celebrities such as Tabea Zimmermann and Marks Nyikos.
Following her studies, she was engaged by the Berlin University of the Arts and the Hanns Eisler School of Music in Berlin as an accompanist, an activity that she still continues today.
Naoko Sonada has won several prizes at international competitions such as Argento and Trieste (both in Italy) and Lodz (Poland). She performs in concert as a soloist and in chamber ensembles in many countries in Europe and Asia.
Naoko Sonada has performed as an official accompanist at various competitions, including the international instrumental competition in Markneukirchen and the international music competition in Bayreuth.
