Pianist Ye-Ree Kim, born in Seoul, Korea, studied Piano Performance in Seoul and New York, with a Master’s degree from Manhattan School of Music and a Doctor of Musical Arts (DMA) from the Graduate Center of City University of New York.
Ye-Ree Kim has performed in many international concerts in Europe, Asia, and USA, among them New York’s finest venues, including Weill Recital Hall at Carnegie Hall, Alice Tully Hall at Lincoln Center, Riverside Church, and Sendesaal of Hessischer Rundfunk in Frankfurt/Germany. As result of her piano performance, she received numerous awards and scholarships.
Ye-Ree Kim has been teaching as faculty member in several universities (Queens College in New York, Hansei University and Soongsil Conservatory in Seoul, and Hochschule für Musik und Darstellende Kunst in Frankfurt am Main). In addition, she has been working in several opera productions and has been engaged as Collaborative Pianist and Teacher in summer music institutions/festivals.
