Kühnl Wolfgang

For more than 20 years, pianist Wolfgang Kühnl has devoted himself intensively to chamber music. He is a much sought after piano partner for instrumentalists and singers alike. His concert activities include appearances in various formations from duo to piano quartet, as well as in ensembles that exclusively perform contemporary music.

After completing his piano studies in Berlin and London, he received a position at the Berlin University of the Arts and has since been teaching there as a piano accompanist and chamber musician. He is a member of the Trio Apollon, founded by him, with whom he has since performed on many tours in Europe, North America and Asia. In 2006 the trio received the "ECHO-Klassikpreis" for the best chamber music CD recording of the year.

Wolfgang Kühnl plays and teaches at numerous international master classes and competitions. For many years, he has been an orchestral pianist at the Berlin Philharmonic, the Deutschen Sinfonieorchester Berlin and other orchestras.
