About Us
The SIMA Swiss International Music Academy is a private initiative to promote young musical talents from Switzerland and abroad, supported by the non-profit association YOUTH CLASSICS.
The idea
In 2009, the YOUTH CLASSICS association was founded with the aim of supporting young, talented musicians from Switzerland and abroad and preparing them for artistic careers. Prominent musicians from the international music scene quickly became willing to share their knowledge and experience with the young talent.
The SIMA Swiss International Music Academy has now established itself as a nationally and internationally recognized institution for the training of the young generation of highly talented musicians. Due to its unique concept and high quality, it enjoys a high reputation both nationally and internationally, and demand for its sought-after training positions is correspondingly high in Switzerland and abroad.

The Swiss International Music Academy focuses on the holistic personal development of young musicians aged 12 to 25 and, in addition to musical support, offers unique development experiences through exchange with world-class artists who share their many years of experience with the next generation.
A unique concept within the musical education landscape of Switzerland
Unlike existing elite festivals of international renown, where only a few candidates with already internationally successful careers and competition successes are admitted and the proportion of Swiss participants is kept very limited, this highly qualified training opportunity should also be open to young people and students who are aiming to study music or are already studying at a university.

A special inspiration for every musician is the exchange with people who share the same passion and dedicate their lives to music. Especially for talented younger participants who are not yet studying at a university, this is a unique opportunity to benefit from the experiences of others, broaden their musical and social horizons, and share their enthusiasm for music with peers from all over the world.
